Chiesa della Madonna delle Nevi

Built during the Renaissance to replace an ancient votive shrine, the Church of Our Lady of the Snows shows a Della Robbia tabernacle on its façade. Inside, in the presbytery, are depicted the saints Augustine, Monica, William, and Nicholas of Tolentino, painted by Francesco Nasini in 1640. A cycle of frescoes, probably older, also decorates the nave and the counter-façade. Archaeological excavations conducted in 2001 brought to light a 14th-century paved road lined with buildings and crossed by a stream that still enters the Peschiera today.
