Scuole Elementari di Santa Fiora

When elementary schools were first designed in the 1930s, lessons for the children of Santa Fiora took place in the teachers’ houses. The old school, in fact, which was in the former convent in Borgo, stood on a landslide and had been closed in 1926.
The location was selected because of its good exposure, the development of the new town in this area, and the presence, at the time, of chestnut woods that would surround the building.
The work ended in 1946.
