Chiesa di San Giuseppe

The church was built in 1872 at the expense of the philanthropist spouses Giuseppe and Teresa Valeri, who donated it to the Franciscan Stimmatine Sisters, for use by the adjoining college for the education of the girls. The building, in squared stone, is decorated in neoclassical style and urbanistically connects the Piazza di Castello with the 19th-century bridge. The façade, with its austere elegance, is punctuated by lateral pilasters with Ionic capitals to support the wide frame, on which rests the pediment decorated with a high-relief vegetable festoon.
