Casa natale di Ernesto Balducci 1922-1992
Born in 1922 into a family of miners, Ernesto Balducci was one of the most influential Catholic intellectuals of the 20th century. A leading figure in post-WWII Florence, he was ordained a priest in 1944 and founded the cultural journal Testimonianze in 1958.
Santa Fiora was for him an inspiration and a term of continuous and indispensable comparison in the development of a new “planetary humanism,” whose elaboration covers a large part of Balducci's most recent cultural and literary works.
