Casa natale di Nicodemo Vagaggini 1892-1955

The santafiorese painter, illustrator, fine landscape artist, and photographer, Memo Vagaggini, played an important role in Italian figurative arts. His pictorial vein became increasingly clear over the years, preferring the landscapes of Maremma and Amiata, especially those of Santa Fiora. In 1924, he married the painter Gina Dumonal and settled in Florence at Villa Romana, a residence offered to talented artists. He exhibited in many Italian galleries, including at the Venice Biennale (1934), and at the Carnegie Prize in Pittsburgh (1936).
